Bad wreck

At one point a couple of years ago, I witnessed three stupid driving maneuvers from different teen-age drivers in the time span of less than an hour. Here in Scott County, we've lost our share of high school students. You just hold your breath and hope they realize the error in their judgment before something really bad happens. I've often told my own kids(about driving)that I survived the stupidity of my youth.
I sincerely pray that this young man will completely recover and be in school when the first day rolls around.

my friend just got back from the hospital and here is what he told me
he is doin alot better now then what he was earlier....his lungs are doin good and he can breath on his own the thing that they are worried about is that his brain is swollen and they are waitin for it to go down and evertthing else!! he knows when you are in the room and all that but he cant talk or anyhting like that but he is responding to like
movement and when ppl talk he can hear em!! but the worse thing right now is that his brain is swollen and they said the next 24 to 48 hrs are critical and hopefully the sweeling will go downn!
as of right now....they havent said whether he is or isnt gonna make it but they did say that he is showing real good signs but dont stop praying or worryin or anyhitng like that!! they said the next day or two are the most important to see how its gonna go!

So everyone keep on prayin for him!

Rock and the others talking about driving 90 mph, etc...There is alot of reason now to believe that he had a seizure and was unresponsive while driving. The passengers tried to talk to him and he was glazed and didnt respond back, I looked at the accident scene, no skidmarks. Theres a very good chance that it was AN ACCIDENT.

I dunno who got the 90 mph but that didn't happen. Where the accident was it's just not possible, but when a couple of 8th graders, who were scared to death are talking you know how it gets exaggerated. From the other players who were in a car behind Ricky it was very foggy leaving Dorchester heading toward town and he may have just missed the turn not seeing it, or had a siezure, no one knows. They was around 5 or more kids trying to upright the car and a man who lived at the scene and heard the accident walked down 2-3 min after it happened and held ricky out of the water until the Rescue squad arrived cut his seatbelt and started CPR.

young man had alot goin for him, speaking from all the coaches at Clintwood, hope for a speedy recovery ....we will be praying for him

I hope that's all it was, an unpredictable accident. Having served with volunteer fire/rescue for over 20 years, I know how accident stories get embellished, sensationalized, or completely distorted.

Ricky and his family were remembered in both our services at church today, and a lot of folks carried his name home with them as a reminder for prayer.
